Isaac Damian Ezirim
Isaac Damian Ezirim is dedicated to inspiring young people to change the world through the promise of technology. As Founder of the not-for-profit Teens Can Code, Isaac is teaching skills for life, one child at a time. And he’s already reached over 5000 kids!
Isaac believes that every teenager should have access to opportunities in tech regardless of their socio-economic background. So he brings fun, immersive, free computer programming classes, workshops, events, and after school programs directly into Nigerian schools. He is particularly interested in reaching schools in rural, low-income communities that may not have access to quality education and face a paucity of career opportunities. Teens Can Code helps students secure jobs and internship opportunities.
Isaac founded his organization with the primary goal of providing young people with the problem-solving and coding skills they will need to be competitive in the digital economy, no matter their future profession. His overarching objective, however, is to inspire tomorrow's leaders, enabling them to overcome Nigeria’s national challenges.
In short, Isaac, a 2018 Queens Young Leaders award recipient, is betting that coding can transform our world. And he’s making certain that the next generation of Nigerian’s are ready to spearhead that transformation.
